A Birthday Gift from Pearl Jam

In 2016, Pearl Jam gifted Mike McCready the ultimate 50th birthday present. A screen-accurate 1977 Pontiac Firebird Esprit, restored to match the iconic car from The Rockford Files.

The restoration was carried out by Sabeti Motors in Tacoma, Washington, using the exact "Rockford Gold" paint formula Sherwin-Williams SW35128 sourced from documentation provided by an original show car owner. The rear fender features an exterior XLR panel replicating the original TV car, and side-by-side comparison photos against the original production car are available upon request.

Now Mike is offering it privately, exclusively through Fandiem Relics. There is no fixed asking price. All serious offers will be reviewed directly.

When Eddie and the band gave me this 1977 Pontiac Firebird Esprit for my 50th birthday in 2016, I was completely blown away. I’ve always loved The Rockford Files, and this car was such a thoughtful gift from people who know me so well. It was restored with incredible detail to match the original Rockford car, right down to the Rockford Gold paint.  I’ve loved owning it, driving it, and knowing the story behind it but it feels like the right time for someone else to enjoy it and carry that story forward. Even better, the proceeds will go toward the Vitalogy Foundation and the Washington Innocence Project, helping turn this special car into something that can do real good.
